My apartment in Brooklyn was confirmed an illegal unit recently. My landlord split a studio in half (we share bath) and only claims 1 on legal records. What can we do?

I live in a rent stabilized apartment, my rent has been overpaid due to my subsidy, and my landlord gets monthly payments for the current months yet I’ve noticed decrease in the rent that was paid.

I got my rental history and it was stabilized before they did illegal renovations but I talked to some legal people and it seems like there’s no case plus nobody else in the building wants to get involved with me
