No, force perpendicular to the path all of the time. If it was an ellipse (it slightly is) it wwould do positive and negative work, but in a lapse the total work would be zero.

fotistirokomos :
F is constantly perpendicular to displacement, therefore, no work!

No. The moon on its geodesic trajectory gains no energy from the earth - eg. no velocity change, hence does no work.

Osama Bin Ballin’ :
No work. Moon moves along geodesic in 4 dimensions, and as it moves along a geodesic, no work is done

Work requires movement, since the earth is not moving. No work is done by the earth

Coming from electrical engineering. The Moon stays at the same Potential. Its moving along a equipotential line. Therefor no work is done at any time.

if gravity does work then Earth does work on the moon

No. gravity provides the centripetal force which is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the moon, cos90=0 hence W=0

Earth and moon orbit their common barycenter. And no, momentum is conserved throughout time, no work done.

You can also see that no work is done since the speed/kinetic energy does not change, even though the velocity changes.
