EDIT: Just to clarify I’m not talking about how MUCH makeup is being worn. I’m talking about the PLACEMENT of it. I don’t hate full beats I wear it myself sometimes! Personally I just prefer makeup that enhances and complements my natural features rather than reshaping or “snatching” them. Lately there’s been a big emphasis on slimming and lifting everything, and while that look is beautiful, it can make people with different features feel like they have to change themselves to fit in and that it’s not good enough of its not “altered”. That’s not shade to anyone with lifted features. You guys are STUNNING. And if you like snatching and lifting makeup, absolutely do it! Makeup is personal. This is just my preference. I never told anyone to stop doing anything I just said I think makeup that works with your features (rather than against them) looks beautiful. And yes, I’m aware the women in that video are naturally gorgeous but I also love their makeup. I love the way their makeup highlights what they already have. Take Aria (Lucy Hale) for example she has beautiful round eyes, and instead of trying to change their shape, her makeup embraced it. That’s what I mean. I genuinely think that makeup that enhances your features instead of changing themselves looks beautiful on anyone.
