I need your help! I am looking to paint over wallpaper however the wallpaper cover up tin is way above my budget since I am only covering a small area. I have been advised that the cover stain tin (500ml) will do the same job since they work the same for my specific purpose—preventing wallpaper bubbling—because of the base ingredient. Am I correct?

you can't paint over paper because the paint bring up bubbles then you got to strip it all and restart it all over again

I heard it’s best to use an oil based primer then apply your paint over that. This prevents the water based paint from re wetting the glue which will cause bubbling.
