@unicornisland: Pop Quiz: Women pay more than men for mortgages in X of 50 US states? You’re gonna want to sit down for this one. Or move to Alaska. Because that’s the only state where women don’t pay more. That stat got our attention. And so did this one: only 2% of women receive VC funding, with women of color accounting for a fraction of that number. Is it that women, especially women of color, aren’t starting businesses? No. In fact, Black women are the fastest-growing demographic of entrepreneurs in the US. Is it that women are less successful as business leaders? Nope. Women outperform men on most key traits that make leaders more effective. Riskier? Nah.
