5 things I would never do to my natural hair on my growth journey⬇️ ✨I never go without oiling my scalp & scalp massages regularly - Oiling helps nourish & moisturize the scalp which actually promotes HEALTHIER hair growth because what’s the point of growing out your hair if it isn’t healthy 🤷🏾‍♀️ Plus the scalp massages feel amazing ☁️ ✨ I never skip detangling my hair with conditioner BEFORE I wash - This is one of the things I started that has improved my wash day the most! I lose way less hair this way! I detangle my hair with conditioner (do not rinse) then shampoo my hair with the conditioner still in. Just try it once and thank me later! 🫶🏾 ✨ I never go without clarifying shampoos every once in a while - You need to remove all of that gunk & product to give your scalp & hair a clean environment to grow! So I use a clarifying shampoo every few washes. I focus on my scalp but don’t completely neglect those ends either 🌱 ✨ I never skip deep conditioner - Using a deep conditioner every time I wash my hair is crucial! I make sure to switch between moisturizing & strengthening ones bc my hair needs the perfect balance of both for it to be at its best. ✨ Never do styles that aren’t stretched - Breakage is the enemy 💔 & my natural coils are prone to tangles & breakage so I always let it dry in a stretched way. My favorites are twistouts, mini twists, and blowouts. These are just the things that have helped me and hopefully they can help you too. But remember everyone’s hair is different.
