What is your purpose? What is your why? I had some great conversations this past weekend. And I realize I don’t write about it so often here, online. The fitness industry might be seen as shallow, because we use our physical bodies to showcase our work. But don’t let that fool you into believing that it is all there is to it. I get these questions a lot: “How do you stay motivated?” “How big do you want to get?” “What is it that drives you?” People expect to hear something generic something that most others would say, but the answer I always come with is: “I am far from always motivated, I just do what I do because it is second nature to me.” “I never aimed to get big, all I want is to have the right piece on the right place while doing what I love. It is my art project.” “The drive is in the passion. I am consistently going to the gym because of how it makes me feel, not how it makes me look, I am not stressed to reach a certain way of looks, it is actually the work that drives me, that keeps me whole.” I will never be done, I will never be fully satisfied, and that is something that I accepted not too long ago. Your physique is like your fashion style, it will come and go. And the beauty of it, you can change it as much as you want. You just gotta be patient. I get it, fitness for many is for the looks of it. Their passion isn’t as deeply ingrained as it is for me. But the ones that want more out of it, or for the ones that want it to become easy.
