@lawnsingoodnick: Perfect time of year to be repairing bare patches if you can give it enough water! 💦 in fact, you can grow an entire lawn using this method! If you don’t have a scarifier you can just rip out roots from your lawn or garden beds 💯 This method works well for grass types with stolons (above ground roots) like Kikuyu and Couch, and is also possible with Buffalo which is just slower to spread ✅ If there’s anything I’ve learned from previous sprigging attempts it’s that it’s a number game. Don’t just plant 1 or 2 stolons, plant a heap because they won’t all make it 🙏 In these 11 days we’ve had rain on 3 days and I’ve probably watered on 4-5 days despite my advice of 1-2 waters a day, it hasn’t been very hot though.
