@theloveforgardening: I planted some spring seeds last week. Before starting, I selected the varieties of vegetables and flowers that I wanted to grow in the spring and prepared labels to keep track of what I was planting. 📝 I used a sowing tool kit to dip in water, tap on the seeds, and place them in individual seed trays. You can use a pencil or chopsticks if you don't have a sowing tool kit. I like to do multi-sowing to save time, space, and soil. It also avoids empty spaces in case some seeds don't germinate. I hope I am not the only one who doesn't like to see the space in my seed tray. For the spring season this year, I am sowing 🌱 Cabbages, broccoli, Napa cabbage, onions, beets, lettuce, Asian greens, kale, spinach. For flowers: Poppies, sweet peas, stock flowers, snapdragon flowers, nasturtiums, viola, pansies. I also add vermiculite on top of my seed tray. This helps keep the topsoil moist and improves germination. I will share more about them as they grow. I will start sowing my summer crops soon, such as peppers and eggplants, as these plants take longer to grow. If you have limited space, choose the veggies or flowers you enjoy the most, as you will need to save those spaces to grow your summer crops.
