yup right before you sleep, play with them and then they go for their bowl to eat or drink water then they also will be ready for sleep. my cat sleep

honestly a more general tip could be, just move their stuff around. ive had beds that my cat refused to touch for years but i moved it to a corner

I have pillows throughout my house and they sleep in anything they can, and my bedtime is 10pm, if they wanna run around they’ll get locked outta my room, so they choose to just sleep with me

depends on the cat ultimately. In general though, higher up they see more = feel safer, so they want to/"can" sleep there!
