Christmas time is over and I’m done with winter and can’t wait for spring to arrive. 🌸 One thing that lifts my spirits during this time is that the Eistraum at Rathausplatz is reopening. I love ice skating, even though I’m not a pro, but it’s a great feeling gliding on the ice, listening to the music and having fun. ⛸️❄️ Especially in the evening when the ice skating rink, the paths and the city hall are illuminated, there’s a special atmosphere. ✨ FACTS ABOUT THE EISTRAUM ⛸️ huge ice skating rink between the Vienna City Hall and the Burgtheater consists of ⛸️ 4 large ice rinks ⛸️ ice paths through the park ⛸️ sky rink on the 1st floor - you get there over a ramp ⏰ OPENING HOURS open until March 3rd daily between 10 am - 10 pm 💶 TICKETS you can buy your tickets onsite or online (with a 10% discount) - €10/€9 for adults for 4 hours ❗️MONEY-SAVING TIP: Austrian residents can subscribe to the free “Vorteilsclub der Stadt Wien”, where you get a 50% discount on the tickets every Monday. ‼️ Last Minute tickets are free from 9.30 pm - 10 pm AMENITIES ⛸️ you can rent ice skating shoes 🔐 lockers are available as well 🪪 don’t forget your ID or €50 as a deposit 💡 TIP if possible avoid the weekend I was there on a Monday between 8 pm and 10 pm and it wasn’t crowded Do you like ice skating?
