Japan has SO MANY abandoned housed and the govt iirc is actually welcoming foreigners to buy those houses and bring them back to life so that’s one option im considering

This is incorrect. If you have a visa you don’t pay country taxes unless you have a work visa. I live in Mexico and yes I’m fluent in Spanish
