@lylemoxsom: The Dorian Mode is the second mode of themajor scale and contains the following intervals: 1 2 b3 4 5 6 b7 Dorian is essentially a minor scale with a maior 6 and it is this particular combination of sounds that gives Dorian its slightly mystical feel. Used in slow melodies, it has a folky, medieval sound but in the context of modern quitar music it's a great way to make a minor key sound funky. Throw the major 6 into a minor pentatonic lick to drop a little taste of Dorian. #guitarlesson #guitarscales #leadguitar
