Ngl, it actually helps me learn and learn it both rapidly and correctly to be on the receiving end of a proper, professional-grade ritual when entering a new current or type of magic. I vet a lot to find the right occultist for it but it’s worth it for me. From there I take over but it saves me years of trial and error just from feeling it. I also, when really burnt out in terms of executive functioning, find it entirely worthwhile to pay someone trustworthy to pick up my slack and do some reiki and cleansing for me. I’m AuDHD. We all have our specialties and yes overall the strongest magic you’ll feel is what you’ve done yourself. Agreed.
