when i don't know what i need and am distressed i like it when my partner asks yes/no for my basic needs. "do you need a tissue"

I was watching this, because I am the person who does not know what I need, but decision fatigue is real 🙃 and the answer is always distraction.

I really struggle because I'm genuinely a problem solver and it is my main form of support and forget sometimes people don't need problem solving

My favorite is when my partner or I have a bad day we ask “do you want me in listening mode or problem solving mode?”

This is something I struggle with in my meltdowns, sharing with my wife is creating thoughts and threads of communication we haven't considered before

Uh... What do you do if you or partner have AuDHD And has no clue how to answer those questions? Or if the answer is "both/neither"

what if they say “i don’t know” to those things too? like not knowing if they want to be alone or if they want to be distracted, etc.
