As an autism mom, I’m SO thankful for the antibiotic shot they have out now. My kids REFUSE almost all meds so it makes it easier for them to get better!

son has the Clindamycin. a spoon of chocolate syrup (think hersheys) was helpful before to coat the tongue/throat.

Clinda & pred is why my son learned how to swallow pills by age 3. He frequently had to take them and Pęd said if he learned how to swallow pills, he would switch from liquid. He quickly mastered it

They stopped doing this in our residency before I even got there (started in 2011). I also did UAMS for med school and I don’t think we did it there

My son is autistic, he was extremely sensitive to taste, several would make him gag. Now he takes pills. It’s a breeze now.
