@rancherryan: Is that as much as you expected? This time of year, we try to keep as much feed in front of the cattle as they will eat while wasting as little as possible. Winter time on the ranch can vary quite a bit. Today the temperature was about 40 degrees warmer in the morning than it was about a week ago. When it’s colder, the cows eat more hay. Digesting the hay works kind of like a furnace to keep them warm. If the temperature dips, I’ll feed them more. Do you eat more or less when it’s cold? I think I eat more… 🤔 @AG-GEAR @americanhatco

My cows are 12-1300# I feed 22-25lbs per day plus 1.5 pounds of DDG cubes. And they have winter grazing.
