big $$$ for a mistake like that. front covers on a 7.3 are 800 easy. thing I like about 7.3ls is no oil supply means injectors don't fire= no damage.

Had the same thing happen to a dt466 said it was rebuilt died while driving. They put gray silicone on the pickup tube gasket. All the problems. Held for several hundred miles but finally gave away.

by 1999 7.3 was running on 3 quarts of oil some how and it didn't leak it so I have no clue where it all went in 2months lol but it wasn't having it🤣
