My son is 11 years old and suddenly developed what seems like stuttering, but is more reminiscent of aphasia in my opinion because he doesn’t have the typical stutter and patterns. It’s more of a word finding issue like what you would see in someone who has early dementia or something and he said that he knows what he wants to say, but it won’t come out and now we’re at the point where he can’t speak a full sentence without struggling to find the words or getting the words out I made an appointment to see a neurologist.

My daughter will repeat I-I-I before her sentence and makes a face like this hard to get out … she started before she turned two around aug- September 25’ then she stopped now she’s started again a week ago… should I put her in speech therapy?

My son started at age 7 and now nearly 10 we have gone to speech therapy they said just listen be patient and let him take as long as it takes to finish his sentence. Any help I can do at home please
