Dehydrated Strawberry Rose - Part 1 I love natural strawberry flavor and aroma and often can’t achieve the same fragrance from artificial or extract. Fresh strawberries are wonderful, and to concentrate the flavor the best way is to add lemon and sugar, however dehydrating not only makes a more amplified natural flavor, it creates the deepest red color and can be made into a beautiful rose. I’ve done fresh strawberry roses before which you will see in the video, but a more beautiful strawberry rose was created today and now imagining the type of cake and pastry decorating this will add beauty and flavor to. I label this part 1, so you know that part 2 is coming very soon. This was so beautiful, I had to show the creation on its own. Natural washed strawberries Sliced thin (crucial) Dehydrated (partial) Glucose syrup diluted Assembling the strawberry rose was similar to creating a rose from fondant or piping a rose from buttercream. Having made many fruit roses in my experience, this looks the most beautiful with the seeded texture on the strawberry. Also you can glaze this with simple syrup if you desire more sweetness however I lucked out getting sweet strawberries from the farmers market and these were gorgeous.
