I’d love to do this to my 74 Ramcharger’s wheels but they’re 16” and getting tires for those is hard and expensive already

remove the tire and valve stem, you will end up with a better result and easier to get the edges

Do you put some sort of clear coat on the bare aluminum to protect it? Won't it oxidize and go dull again if left bare?
