@tomjoycefitness: Level up your core 🦾 Traditional ab exercises (like crunches and sit ups) usually cause flexion of the spine which primarily works the rectus abdominis. But most of the stabilisation of your spine and pelvis comes from your transverse abdominis and obliques. Stability is a key part of balance and control during athletic movements. But athletes also need to create force by flexing and rotating through the core. Some of my favourite stability exercises (anti-core) include dead bugs, Copenhagen planks, pallof press & loaded carries. ⚖️ Athletic core exercises that I love to programme include sprinter sit ups, TRX hip drops and Keiser cable rotation variations. 🔁 Incorporate both types of core exercises in your training to maximise your core strength! 💯 #BuiltNotBorn #Strength #Football #Training #Abs #Core #Stability #Soccer #Elanga #Bassey #Carvalho #Daka #Gittens #James #Tomori #Kabore #Mengi #Bernard #Anthony #Loader #ForYou #FYP
