Love this idea, but the current price of living makes this impossible. Especially being in college and working full time, locations are limited and my teacher check w/ masters after taxes is $1100.

When I bought my house I made sure i only factored my income and not my babe. I can fully take care of my home without his income and vice versus.

That was my thinking too. When I bought my coop I wanted to make sure that my maintenance and mortgage can be paid with 1/2 my monthly income. It worked beautifully.
