@plantedinthegarden: The coldest our temperature has been this year was at -15°C (5°F). By no means, it’s not comparable to certain regions in Canada where temps have dropped to -40°C. But it’s still a cold enough of a temperature to make it unbearable for certain plants to survive. By using covers, it does help a great deal to keep our plants protected from cold winds and frost. It’s also great to know that some plants are more cold tolerant than others like Kale and berries. There’s no work in the garden during winter, we don’t water and we rarely go out in the garden during this time of the year. I’ve really tried to grow mid winter outdoors for quite some time now. In the end, I personally prefer to grow our food indoors in the comfort of our home where things actually grow. #gardening #garden #winterfood #natureisamazing #fypシ
