I have a interceptor sadan (taurus) and an interceptor utility (explorer) both have been great vehicles they did have hard lives but many police agencies maintain their vehicles well

HW patrol superiority is negligible, it’s not so much about city vs highway as it is about idling time. All police cars spend the majority of their lives idling which is no bueno

That's a bog standard child lock, most four door cars have em, UK pol usually have L rear locked for prisoner, R rear open for officer

Not sketchy. No matter how they're used, fleet maintenance is done more often your average consumer ... think weekly and monthly maintenance.
