@learningtolovelaura: Ok disclaimer; the hotel did not mean to intentionally upset me, it was a misunderstanding. The guide for my tour did not mean to intentionally upset me either, he was just unsure on how to handle the situation and sadly said the wrong thing. However he felt sympathy and was incredibly kind to me the rest of the morning and I’d like to thank him for all he taught me about Bali.
