@alinaprokuda: Broccoli Cheddar Soup that’ll warm you from the inside out😋 Ingredients: * 2 Tbsp unsalted butter * 1 cup diced onion * 3 tbsp flour * 2 medium carrots, shredded * 4 cups chicken broth * 4 cups broccoli florets * 3 garlic cloves * 1 tsp salt * 1/2 tsp black pepper * 1/4 tsp nutmeg * 1/2 tsp chili flakes * 1 cup heavy whipping cream * 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese * 1 sourdough bread bowl Instructions: 1. Prep all of your ingredients before you start cooking. Dice onion, garlic, cut out broccoli florets. 2. In a dutch oven or medium soup pot, melt 2 Tbsp butter. Add diced garlic, onion and carrots and saute until onions soften (5-10 minutes). 3. Add flour to the pot 4. Add 4 cups chicken broth, heavy cream 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp chili flakes.Bring to a boil then add broccoli and reduce to a simmer, partially cover, and cook until broccoli is softened (10-12 minutes depending on the thickness of broccoli). 5. Stir in the cheddar in the end of cooking and let it melt. 6. Remove the soup from the heat.. Season with salt to taste and serve right away in sourdough bread bowl .Garnish with more cheddar if desired.
