After switching pcp’s,after the first few comments, I did not see her.. until a few weeks before getting Jays diagnosis, on 2/1/23. (I did not know they scheduled me with her (I was like.. 😒)) At this apt., I was requesting blood work because I still had concerns about Jay waking up super weak and not sure if she was diabetic,etc. (I had brought up this concern a few months prior & tried what the Dr recommended then, did not work, so back we came searching for answers..) … She shook her head at everything I was saying and then made that comment “You are just fetchin! You are just fetchin for something.” Saying I am still looking for something to be wrong.. I felt sooooooooo stupid!! >>>She did not request blood work. I left crying!! Finally made a complaint. Magically, I got a call the next day from another Doctor saying he requested blood work and sent her to an Endochronologist. Well.. a few weeks later, my world crashed..getting the call on 2/1/23 around 4:45pm “Mom.. Jayla’s genetic test results were positice for Rett Syndrome..” 💔 I was so broken and angry, it took me a few days to compose myself and send her this message which i thought was important to do.
