I still read a lot of comment like this on my Facebook page. People tend to comment right away without knowing why. They sometimes call me names and telling me to stop speaking and acting like I’m good in speaking English. It is very sad, but I have to say this,most of these people are Filipinos, My co Filipinos. What’s wrong with speaking English? What’s wrong with learning how to speak English? Does it really need to have a correct grammar? Does it really need to be perfect? This is one of the sad reality of some Filipinos, you will try and they will drag you down. You have the confidence, but they will take that away. Reason why a lot of Filipinos in the Philippines, when they see a foreigner and they want to speak English, even though they can speak English, they wont because either people around you are gonna make fun of you, or they will criticize you for having really bad English. One thing I have learned in this country is to pursue what do you think will help you, and to keep going! And I really hope that some people will do that. Pursue it and keep going! I am not saying that my English is perfect but at least I am trying. The most important thing, is that I am advancing here because of my customers, my friends here, the people here understands me. No judgment just understanding! Instead of criticizing your co Filipinos English why can’t we just be proud and happy, because at least 1 of many Filipinos are doing great and showing how great we are wherever we are in this planet!
