@theshepardgang: “HAPPY 22ND HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY, my sweet baby Aaliyah 🥳🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼 Today 22 years ago feels like it was yesterday! 1:02am you were born! I went to the hospital at 10pm, had you 3 hours later! I will never forget my doctor walking in and grabbing my hand and saying Christine there is NO heart beat, you have to push her out now! It took 3 more pushes, soon as she came out she was not breathing and they were able to get her breathing again! I immediately know there was a problem. St. Joesph’s Hospital NICU was waiting for her! I checked myself out of the hospital by 3:30am and went to St. Joesph’s Hospital. From January 30th - March 31st she was under observation to figure out what was wrong. Finally 10 doctors sat down with us and showed us her brain scans, Aaliyah was born with severe brain damage and had cerebral palsy! The next day was her first surgery to get her g-tube put in! The weeks following I had to take a CPR class and learn how to feed her via g-tube! The doctors tried to have me see a psychiatrist?!?! I said WHAT! FOR WHAT?! I said umm NO! I told them I am ready to take my baby home 🏡 I will figure it out and the rest is history! We cherish the time we had with you and the love you left behind. As we remember the memories we shared, from your first time drinking a bottle to your graduation, birthdays & vacations filled with laughter to quiet moments of love, we are reminded of the precious time we had with you. Each memory is a treasure, and we hold them close to our hearts. We miss you more than words can express, and today, as we celebrate your birthday, we send our love and wishes to you in heaven!
