Because my story is a living, breathing testimony of beauty from ashes. In 2009, my heart was shattered. The beginning of the end of my marriage began. I was devastated, embarrassed, ashamed. I was a good, Christian girl. A PK. This was supposed to happen to other people. Not me. Yet I found myself at a crossroads. After the dust settled, and the divorce was final I had a choice. A choice to sit in the anger or unforgiveness. Or a choice to do the hard work of rebuilding a new life. Our Father audibly spoke to me and sent redemption in the form of a broken down cottage in northwest Louisiana and called me home to begin the greatest adventure of my life. This was an emotional moment flipping through rugs designed by me with my name and brand. I was a school teacher. I am divorced. I never ever planned or dreamed for my story to unfold as it has.
