Ask for an itemized bill! (At least in Texas from what I’m told) they have to provide to you what they use the deposit for. I’ve heard places refunding the whole thing after being asked for proof!!

Paint is normal wear and tear. That is not something they are allowed to charge. They have to show a bill to prove damages
