@innerlightpottery: What is sgrafitto? Sgrafitto is the process of carving through one layer to reveal another. It means “to scratch” in Italian. A lot of us have experience with the process via childhood. Remember coloring a sheet of paper with crayons and then painting it over in black and then scratching designs into it after it dried?
