I get it but it doesn’t apply very well to climbing shoes… the best thing you can do at the start is get a nice pair. It will massively change how you learn. The cheap ones only hold you back

I do something similar. I try to buy used and repair it I now know more about my tool and now it's worth more. Like my sewing machine is from 1923
