@seanweaverdwc: And there it is. That’s a wrap. Duck season 2023 is over. This day for me always brings about a second wave of reflection, like the New Year’s resolutions do. I reflect on hunts, places I’ve seen, relationships both forged and strained. I think about what I would have done differently and what the future will look like. The amount of influence duck season has always had on my life is disproportionate to many, and downright disturbing to most. But this year was not one of those years. I got in shape. I shaved my beard for the first time since I worked on the floor at @SCHEELS freshman year of college. I worked on and learned skills I’d never taken the time to fully develop. I dove deep into my soul on how I can most meaningfully contribute to the world, what will satiate my cravings to create, how to best be a producer that positively impacts mankind and their freedom. And now I look to the year ahead, with snow goose conservation order about to kick off and new ideas about how to create and produce, and I have a fire burning inside. It’s time to create. A lot. See you soon, snow geese.
