@mn.crime: 'We Have Bystanders Looking for the Leg' | Units are on scene of a motorcyclist down on northbound I-35, south of 220th St. N. in Forest Lake. According to initial dispatches, the motorcyclist has suffered a full leg amputation and is seriously injured. "We have bystanders looking for the leg" and a tourniquet was applied at the scene. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. Traffic cam video shows the motorcyclist losing control and striking the guardrail, with no other vehicles involved. The motorcyclist was being transported to Regions around 6:10 p.m. and a trauma team activation was requested. EMS reported he suffered a right lower leg amputation, the severed leg was found at the crash scene and was also being transported to the hospital.
