I sincerely hope that the nurse looses her license, what an incredible violation of HIPAA. And anyone who told her to call the police too

I’ve been on ethics committees 6hrs is actually a very short period of time to make a decision. Usually it’s days.

As a mom who had a 2nd trimester miscarriage myself, it’s so hard. And to have to deal with this on top of it, I can’t believe what this woman went through.

I was sent home to complete the miscarriage at home with a hemoglobin of 7. ER ordered a blood transfusion, L&D nurse left me passed out on the toilet. I never received the blood transfusion.

I miscarried while at home too. The nurses was so callous while telling me to go home. Like they were tired of seeing me and I knew something was wrong.

Thank you for documenting this story (I’m in UK) I feel for this woman, miscarriage is horrific enough without being actively blamed for it 💔

I’m in Sweden and have been following this since just before everything turned into a hellhole. Seeing the fear build up and then for it all to become reality for my friends and everyone else there😔

I lost my baby girl at 16 weeks last year and my OB almost had me deliver at home. It was awful. I hemorrhaged and needed a d&c BUT they wouldn’t do it until I passed our baby 😐

I had a second trimester loss and am so grateful for the empathy and compassion that I received from the hospital staff. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life.

Around the same time she lost her baby, I lost mine too, around the same gestation, for the same reason. I was in the hospital but the nurse had sent me to the cafeteria bc I still had “hours” …

I’m very glad those charges were dropped. I had a miscarriage and it took a very long time to get through it. Can’t imagine the anguish she suffered.

Jeez. How horrible. So glad the charges were dropped even though they should’ve never been brought up. They’ve hurt the wrong woman. You can see and hear the fierce fight in her. What a strong person.

I was in the hospital for 2 days with a kidney infection and I didn’t find out half the stuff they were doing until I went to my gp weeks later. So not surprised at all no one told her what was up

I have been very lucky to be in hospitals with patient advocates. They should be required at every hospital. They were so helpful in scary situations.

Dear God…I had a miscarriage at home & I had a breakdown when I was told it was a spontaneous abortion. It is already TRAUMATIC experience for ANY woman going through a miscarriage. She went to the hospital several times because it appears the wait was LONG. What are we doing? Six hours to DECIDE to treat her?

As a healthcare worker this saddens me. I would never do this to a patient. Please don’t think all providers are like this 😢

Why is everyone so sure the nurse lied? It’s the nurses word against the ladies I don’t see what the nurse would have to gain from lying.
