@robchapmanfishing: FLORIDA GREAT WHITE for @pauldabill with an AMAZING story and ending!! 🦈👇 Part 1) Incredible encounter with a GREAT WHITE SHARK out of Jupiter, Florida! While freediving a shipwreck 4 miles off the coast I speared an amberjack. Moments later a great white shark appeared. We dove with it for about 10 minutes before it swam away. This was my first time seeing a great white and I’m so thankful for the experience. I was very excited to say the least! Filmed 1/19/2024. Part 2) Since my Great White shark encounter last week I’ve been in touch with a scientist at the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC). They maintain the white shark catalog for the northwest Atlantic. They have identified over 600 individual white sharks to date. They analyzed my video and determined that the shark has not been identified or tracked before so it is being added to the catalog. I was given the opportunity to name the shark. I named it after my son Trenton, who happens to love sharks.
