EMDR is not the best for everyone 💜 I was told I shouldn’t do it either because I dissociate too much

Oh, that sounds like an interesting therapy! My EMDR was similar with the councillor asking me to picture a safe and relaxing place, and meditation

For me the emdr kinda unlocked memories of trauma i could not remember before. It's so intense and i nearly didn't pull through it.

I'm so proud of your progess and the way you talk about therapy and healing. It's so good to see you doing better and getting help. I still remember the first clips you shared and seeing you in so

I do emdr but I don't picture anything while I do it, I hold the little hand buzzies while doing breathing exercises bc I am trying to learn to exist

That’s actually incredibly helpful to consider with therapy options! I’ve never felt quite ready for EMDR with having done one session and it being

I’ve had to have EMDR for my traumas. It was so hard. In tears every session and totally drained me. Big hugs ❤️

I was told the same thing about EMDR so I do ART (accelerated resolution therapy) instead! It’s helped so much!

I did EMDR but since I can’t visualise stuff in my head I struggled with it but then I started hypnotherapy and it has helped me so much. So if you’re like me, hypnotherapy is a great alternative 🫶🏼

EMDR was intense. During the session itself I was fine but the minute I was left alone I started having hallucinations and a melting pot of flashbacks

I've never heard of rewind therapy...very interesting. I am going to suggest looking into it, to someone I love dearly, who didn't respond positively to EMDR therapy. Thank you for the information 💖
