If appears my family changed theirs after. In genealogy it appears anglicanized but on the manifest their first names have a more ethnic spelling. Such cool history.

My parents last names rhymed oddly ! And they both are 3rd generation. Mom’s maiden name Carr from Sicily. Original was Cariota. Dad’s last name Barr from Russia original Barovich!
