my prof told us it's all about finding YOUR "teacher voice". how you handle things, speak with students, tone, humor, etc. can take years!

I agree with this! New Teachers (especially if you have an overbearing admin), you can't be a carbon copy of another teacher. Find yourself!

Teaching remotely in 2020 forced me to think about how I spoke to kids / since their parents could hear... i had to interrogate that... and bring this better ME in the classroom when we returned

Yes I took off the glasses for emphasis and because I'm extra... yes the 2 seconds before this clip I put the glasses on just to take them off for the video 😂😂😂

I was told "fake it till you make it" the kids can see right through that. Be yourself and the kids will see that, they need authentic adults in their lives ❤️
