Now a bit of context : Normal systolic BP is 90-120mmhg (Client's 196mmhg) Normal diastolic BP is 60-90 mmh (Client's 127 mmhg) A million things could go wrong with this woman and as Africans we would attribute it to "juju" or "house people ". However this woman in my opinion is a ticking time bomb. She could have a stroke, cardiac arrest, brain bleed, kidney failure from walking around with uncontrolled hypertension. We gave her a stat dose of antihypertensive and referred her to a hospital for further management. We didn't give her any infusion as that could further raise her BPs. As doctors, We swore an oath to do no harm. Even at the expense of our pockets. Lets be safe #hypertensionawareness #alphaaesthetika
