@gabbysbookstuff: The amount of messages i get in my dms on this app bashing me about it is ridiculous. Like you dont HAVE to understand me or why I read it. I dont want to force people into understanding when they obviously wont. Especially if youre younger than the required age to even read the books, then thats on you. Although personally for me, i think maturity > age is more important to me. As long as you can disipher reality and fictional then thats okay. Im not promoting this to young people btw. But keeping young people away from things like this mostly never works. People get curious. Im 16 myself, and dark romance is my favourite. And just because people read it doesnt mean we need help or are gross etc and accusing us of that seems like some people forget we actually read our comments. And another thing is that some people dont understand that the things that happen in books can actually have happened to readers, and reading books about the trauma they endured can help them feel seen and validated and help them heal knowing authors see that in their readers.
