People don't realize who unwalkable America is. Even with a sidewalk your still likey to be hit by a car coming from personal experience 😅

:most of the sidewalks are completely busted up or end randomly forcing you to walk on the 6in gap between where the cars are zooming past and where the asphalt ends

We moved out to the country and my husband tried walking for exercise. People offered him rides and a cop asked where he was going,we got a treadmill.

I walk an hour to work and back in Europe it’s so normal like it’s enjoyable it’s the fresh air. US is a different world

One of the most common ways pedestrians die is walking along large roads that don’t have sidewalks 😭. It can truly be SO dangerous.

Fun fact! In the US, on some roads, it is illegal to walk or ride a bike on the shoulder.

Side walks/pavements in the US aren't common in the more modern towns and cities because of lobbying by the car industry. Same with public transport
