i use permatex high tack works great .

thin coat of RTV works too. start the top bolt to hold it as well

I just thin layer of silicone both sides even with a snapped bolt it will not leak.

I use silicone a thin layer and stick it let it dry

i use 3m weatherstrip and gasket adhesive

Greese works, or mount it with 2bolts holding the seal in place

Why didn’t you just use rtv and smear it on the gasket? It will stick on while forming a seal to the surface of both areas?
