This is what political discourse should look like. Whether you're Democrat or Republican, you can be friends with someone who has a different opinion. It just means the issues that matter to them are different from those that matter to you. That doesn't make them a bad person or someone you can't engage with. When you use rhetoric that paints the other side as devils and fascists, it harms everyone. We're all just people who want what's best for our families. We all get one vote to choose who we think is best. The issues that matter to me might be different from those that matter to you. That doesn't make you or me a bad person. It just means we prioritize our own needs and families. That's what democracy is about. My message to America: Stop demonizing the other side. This type of rhetoric is harmful, no matter where it comes from. Take a step back, relax, and start with yourself.
