@heavenlyhomeschool: Online homeschooling is something I get asked about all the time. I’m personally in the process of exploring different options and this is one that I felt inclined to share with you all. Smile Zemi is an online learning program that is loaded onto a tablet that the kids can utilize for ONLY their learning tasks. No logging off for YouTube videos or random games. One problem we had with some other learning programs was that the games offered at the ends of lessons would cause our kids to rush through their learning to get to the mindless game. Or buying random “toys” from the store. This one is different. Yes there are incentives, but not the type that encourages rushing through lessons to get to. They follow the common core standards and track everything for you, so this can be an all-in-one example of evidence if you’re in a state with strict homeschool laws.
