Depending on the fireplace and width of the mantle. The mantle might need to be 8-15” above the fireplace. hopefully going electric, Looks great tho

Man, I can’t be the only one that doesn’t like the resurgence of fireplaces. They are such a waste of space. But I guess this is a lot easier to remove than a real one.

Counterclockwise with the cut out tool. Also hope the fireplace is zero clearance. Most people don’t know you gotta frame with steel & 5/8 drywall unless it’s a zero clearance
