Looks like my posts are worrying people… Even LinkedIn is responding to my TikToks now! They say that working 9-5 is fine and that people should do what makes them happy. But the truth is, a lot of governments and companies don't actually want people to do what makes them happy. They just want people to follow their rules and work from 9 to 5, supposedly to be happy.

But the truth is, a lot of governments and companies don't actually want people to do what makes them happy. They just want people to follow their rules and work from 9 to 5, supposedly to be happy. "Happy" is not a real goal. Nobody can be happy all the time, including me. However, having a goal or purpose, something bigger than yourself, can bring real meaning to your life and make you feel fulfilled, even if it doesn't always make you happy. This is what's important, not the 9-5 schedule. I don't have a problem with the 9-5 life if it works for people, but I've seen that many who work this way are just following what they've been taught by a bad education system and later, companies. They've been told that this will make them happy, that they should buy a house and a car, etc. But these things don't actually bring happiness. They're just pursuing a job, not a purpose. This might sound too "woo-woo" for some people… But all I really want is for people to make informed decisions about their lives and not be manipulated by the system. If someone knows they can start their own business and still chooses to work 9-5, that's okay. But many people are forced into this life because they've been scared by their education and society into thinking they'll fail if they do anything else. This is not true, and I will never accept it. I hope one day companies like LinkedIn will acknowledge that the education system is limiting people's options… But I guess they need people to apply for all the jobs on their platform. #linkedin #matrix #simonsquibb #entrepreneurship
