I negotiated a “cheap” rent during the middle of the pandemic so I’m “lucky” to pay $2200 for a 700sq ft 1 bedroom in Vancouver. This apartment goes for $3300 now. It was built in the 90s!

I moved to NorCal and my rent is now 200 less than when I was in Utah. Housing is getting INSANE in the weirdest places. Utah ain't cheap anymore.

as a single parent in North middle TN, I had to resort to "low income" housing at $1,200. 😩 minimum wage in the state is still 7.25.

i moved to nyc and my stabilized rent is less than any of my friends who are still in Austin, tx (my mom moved to atx in 1975 cuz it was cheap)

i mean in san diego there are studios less than 2k but they are in TERRIBLE neighbors -- i pay 1800 and literally tripped on garbage walking to my car

I feel like most people don’t know this, but LA has this thing where all the luxury buildings have to have 10% of units set aside for lower income. And you’ll pay a fraction of what they’re asking for
